Michelle the Dog Lady

Hi, I’m Michelle, the Dog Lady

I walked away from a successful long-term corporate career in safety, management, and training to pursue my lifelong passion for dogs, hiking, and nature. Many people have commented that I have a special gift with dogs. Nothing makes me happier than spending my days exploring and playing with dogs in our area’s beautiful parks, beaches and open spaces. I work with clients in Orinda, Moraga, Lafayette, Walnut Creek and Alamo.

I started the first Dog Hiking Meetup Group in the Bay Area Meetup 12 years ago, which allowed me to gain experience on hikes with multiple breeds. I’ve also been an advocate for rescue work for over 20 years. In my practice, my emphasis is always on handling skills, compassion, strong safety ethic, and commitment to dog life enrichment. I have experience with countless breeds and dogs of every size and age. I treat everyone’s dog like he or she is my very own dog. I strive to give your dog the very best day you yourself would give your dog!

Dog Owner Reviews

“Michelle has walked my two pups for over 4 years now and I don’t know what I would do without her! My pups love her and I love knowing they are safe and well cared for when they are with her. She invests in their training and safety, which goes above and beyond. You would be lucky to have her care for your pups!”

– Katie, Lafayette

“I would highly recommend Michelle’s dog services to anyone who wants peace of mind knowing your loved pet is taken care of…not just in capable hands but your pet will be loved and respected as though they were Michelle’s own!

“Michelle is a GREAT trainer too!”

– MaryFrances A.

“I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough. With her help, my dog went from almost being evicted for rambunctious behavior to beloved tenant. Walking my dog off leash was unthinkable until he spent some weeks with Michelle. She taught both of us how to work together. I’ve been lucky with my pet care, had a few really helpful, caring people to help with my dogs. Michelle is #1 amongst them.”

– Dan S.
